Wedding Design and Coordination

I’m Madison, a wedding planner based in Salt Lake City. I plan and coordinate a small number of weddings across Utah each year, so you get to remember the day instead of the timeline.

Hello, I’m Madison

Make Forever Effortless.

Thoughtful wedding design and calm coordination, built around you—so the road to forever feels as beautiful as the day itself.

As a Utah wedding designer and planner, I turn your ideas into a cohesive celebration, connect you with trusted vendors, and keep every detail moving from engagement to getaway. The result is a wedding that feels entirely yours—and a planning experience that feels wonderfully effortless.

When you hire Hazel, you get me. I take on a limited number of weddings, never book two on the same weekend, and stay close to every detail so your forever gets my full attention.

More about me

Planning it yourself and want an expert’s plan to follow? Look at The Blueprint. Thirty guests or fewer? The Small Day is built for you. Both are on the planning page.

Where I work

Based in Salt Lake City, planning weddings across Utah

Hazel is based in Salt Lake City. Every collection covers weddings within 60 miles of the city, and I’m happy to go further: travel beyond that is quoted separately and up front, never folded into a surprise invoice.

A lot of my couples don’t live here. If you’re getting married in Utah but planning from another state, I become your eyes on the ground, with venue walkthroughs, tastings and mock-ups, all reported back with photos and notes.

Why hire a planner

Everything perfect. None of the pressure.

Perfection isn’t about nothing changing. It’s about having someone who already knows the answer when it does. I carry the schedule, vendor communication, contracts and backup plans so your wedding feels calm, polished and completely yours.

  • i.A timeline every vendor has seen. Built weeks out, shared with everyone, and protected on the day. Nobody asks you what happens next.
  • ii.One person to call. The florist calls me. The caterer texts me. Your mother finds me. You get to be a guest at your own wedding.
  • iii.Someone who has read every contract. Overtime clauses, rain plans, load-in windows. I catch the things that turn into surprises later.
  • iv.A calm person at the back of the room. If a thing goes wrong, and one small thing always does, you will hear about it after the honeymoon, if at all.

How it works

Effortless, from engagement to getaway.

Share the dream

Tell me your date, your priorities and how you want the celebration to feel. I’ll reply within two business days with availability and the best place to begin.

Shape the vision

Over a relaxed call or coffee, we turn your ideas into a clear direction and choose the Hazel experience that gives you exactly the right level of support.

Enjoy the engagement

Once your date is reserved, I keep the details, deadlines and trusted vendor team moving while you stay connected to the decisions that matter most.

Live every moment

I run the wedding day from setup to send-off. You celebrate with your people, leave for your getaway and remember how it felt—not what was on the timeline.

Utah planning FAQ

Questions about planning a wedding in Utah

Where in Utah do you plan weddings?
I’m based in Salt Lake City, and every collection includes weddings within 60 miles of the city. Weddings further away, in Utah or out of state, are welcome and quoted separately for travel.
What’s the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator?
A planner helps you make the decisions over months: budget, vendors, design and logistics. A coordinator carries out decisions you’ve already made, starting about six weeks before the wedding and running through the day. My Partial and Full-Service collections include both. Month-of coordination is only the second half.
How much does a wedding planner cost in Utah?
It depends on how much you hand over. Coordination costs the least, and full-service costs the most because it covers the whole engagement. My current prices are on the planning page, and I wrote a plain-English guide to wedding planner costs if you’re comparing options.
How far ahead should we book a Utah wedding planner?
Popular Utah dates—Saturdays from May through October—tend to book 10 to 14 months out for full-service and partial planning. Month-of coordination can be booked as late as four months before the wedding. If your date is sooner, ask anyway.
